Miller Shaft Lubrication
Periodic oiling of the Miller Flexible Shaft will extend the life of the shaft, casing, and motor as well as maximize the speed and efficiency of the Miller by reducing friction caused by shaft resistance inside the outer shaft casing.
Shaft Lubrication is an easy process and should be done monthly or quarterly depending on machine usage and need. Each Miller’s Operation & Safety Manual has easy to follow instructions on removing the shaft, lubrication, and shaft inspection.
Note: While lubricant will reduce resistance, using too much will cause the opposite effect by creating suction inside the casing that will cause friction. We only recommend using Picote Miller Flexible Shaft Lubricant.
